Our project

The research carried out by the group that now constitutes ArchimedeH24 srl, was developed starting from the observation of the behavior of submerged bodies, in particular submarines which, by discharging modest quantities of water into the sea, are able to rise to the surface moving a mass of thousands of tons thus carrying out an enormous amount of work. It was therefore studied how to exploit the ability to carry out work deriving from Archimedes' principle in order to produce energy. A device capable of transforming the potential energy deriving from hydrostatic thrust into continuous work was therefore designed, exploiting for the first time the largest reserve of energy present on our planet, the sea.



Research and development(R&D)

With the support of Invitalia, National Agency for Investment Attraction and Business Development S.p.A, our start-up has been able to carry out basic research. With the Brevetti+ call, funds were received that were useful for the realization of external consultancy. This contributed to the technological maturation and the realization of a prototype that will soon be studied in nautical tanks, equipped for operational simulation.

The National Agency for Investment Attraction and Business Development S.p.A. with the act of granting the capital contribution referred to in the "Brevetti+" program Directorial Decree 26 November 2019 application no. BRE0000842 CUP C61B21003210001 granted on 07.05.2021, the allocation of € 72,750 to Archimedeh24 srl innovative start-up for the purpose of valorizing the industrial patent held by the latter by virtue of an exclusive license.
With these funds, essential external consultancy was acquired in three main sectors: engineering, marketing, legal.
A) The engineering consultancy allowed to prepare the study, design and engineering activities of the prototype, these allowed Archimedeh24 to realize:
the executive design of all the mechanical parts with graphic restitution through BIM – MEP methodology, the choice of materials, the subsequent realization of the scale prototype (at the beneficiary’s expense) and dry and watertight seal test, gaskets and rotating elements.
B) The market study included a market survey for the territories of Italy, Germany and Spain. After a specific study carried out by the service provider, it was instead decided to identify the island communities of the Mediterranean basin as the potential market of greatest interest with particular regard to those islands belonging to Italy, Spain and Greece. This allowed the company to receive multiple information, study the operational areas and know its commercial gaps.
C) Legal advice has allowed the Beneficiary to develop both a confidentiality/secrecy agreement model capable of guaranteeing patent protection and a patent sub-licensing agreement model that can effectively support commercial strategies and sales policies, available in the company documents.

Strengths
Through the contribution of Invitalia, it was possible to use specific skills and professionalism that Archimedeh24 srl did not have internally.
This has allowed, on the one hand, to study and delve into some key issues for the development of the patent in the legal and marketing fields; on the other, to benefit from the assistance and supervision of specialists in the field of mechanical engineering who have allowed the production of a wealth of technical documentation of considerable importance also for future developments.

Weaknesses
The program did not present any weaknesses; however, the specificity of the ArchimedeH24 project as well as other projects with high technological content relevance, requires as an essential and decisive phase, for the most effective valorization of the patent, the construction and realization of prototypes in different scales that through testing, modifications and improvements allow to arrive at series production. In a possible new edition of the “Brevetti +” program, the prototype realization phase could also be usefully foreseen.
